About Erie Masonry Repair

Erie Masonry Repair is a locally owned masonry contractor serving Erie and all of Erie County, Pennsylvania. We repoint brick, rebuild chimneys, replace rusted lintels, restore stone, and rebuild steps and porches. Most of what we touch is old, because that is what the brick and stone along this stretch of the lake needs.

Erie grew up in brick. The near west side and the districts above the bayfront are full of houses laid before 1930, and that brick is soft and set in lime mortar. It does not take a hard portland joint the way a modern wall does. We match the mortar to the wall, sand and color included, so the repair moves with the brick instead of cracking it.

We are licensed and insured for work in Pennsylvania. We write every job down before we start. We tell you when the stack below your roofline is still sound and only the brick above it needs rebuilding. We tell you when a joint needs raking out and when a whole course of brick has to come off a rust-jacked lintel. You get the diagnosis before you get the price.
